Welcome to Merdog Media! We're so happy to have you here. We get lots of questions about our unique business name. Understandable, as it's not often you hear the word "Merdog." It comes from our little mermaid of a dog Zoey, who has sailed the high seas with us and lived on beaches all over the world. Before having a photography business, she was our number one subject. Photography found us when my husband and I took our little sailboat across the ocean in search of adventure, purpose, and fulfillment. It allowed us to freeze those precious moments in time, preserving them in story form for our children, grandchildren, and beyond. Once settling back in Port Aransas and having our first child, we realized how incredibly fast time flies. With our precious little one growing and changing daily, I wanted so badly to freeze time. Without a time machine, the next best thing was a photograph. Over the years, our family has grown and my love and passion for this craft has grown alongside it. Today, I feel so grateful that I get to capture my clients' most precious moments in life, with my favorite place on earth serving as the backdrop. Families gathering together, pregnancies, engagements, or those sweet little ones who just grow too fast. Whatever it is, I'm here to tell your story through photography, and preserve those beloved moments for your children, grandchildren, and beyond.
